Department Vision
To meet the challenges of new technological advances and to provide update knowledge in the state of the art technology, re-orientation and upgradation of the curriculum to the level of industry relevant learning and training and thus to be a premier technical department that strives continuously for excellence in education and research.
Department Mission
a. To provide knowledge based technology and Service to meet the needs of society globally.
b. To help in building national capabilities for excellent energy management and to explore non-conventional energy sources.
c. To create research oriented culture and to provide competent consultancy.
d. To create and sustain environment of learning in which students acquire knowledge and learn to apply it professionally with due consideration of ethical and economical issues.
e. To be accountable through self evaluation and continuous improvement.
Program Education Objectives (PEO) B.Tech. (Electrical Engineering)
1. To train the students of Electrical Engineering program so that they can work with government and private sector companies responsible for development of power sector & prove themselves in electrical maintenance for industry.
2. To train students of Electrical Engineering program who can contribute to teaching profession, research and development by pursuing higher studies.
3. To train students of Electrical Engineering program in a manner that they should function effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary groups in their practice of Electrical Engineering profession.
Program Outcomes (PO) Electrical Engineering
a. Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of differential equations, vector calculus, complex variables, matrix theory, probability theory, physics, chemistry and electrical and electronics engineering.
b. Graduates will demonstrate an ability to identify, formulate and solve electrical engineering problems.
c. Graduate will demonstrate an ability to design electrical and electronic circuits and conduct experiments with electrical systems, analyze and interpret data.
d. Graduates will demonstrate an ability to design digital and analog systems and component.
e. Graduates will demonstrate an ability to visualize and work on laboratory and multidisciplinary tasks.
f. Graduate will demonstrate skills to use modern engineering tools, software and equipment to analyze problems.
g. Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of professional and ethical responsibilities.
h. Graduate will be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
i. Graduate will show the understanding of impact of engineering solutions on the society and also will be aware of contemporary issues.
j. Graduate will develop confidence for self education and ability for life-long learning.
k. Graduate can explore the knowledge gained for participation and succeeding in competitive examinations like GATE, GRE.
l. Graduates will demonstrate their knowledge in effective implementation during their practice of profession of Electrical Engineering with due regards to environmental and social concerns.
